Kent Fitness League - Fixture 1

Posted on 3rd November 2019

Today was the start of the cross country season at Knole Park.  Some notable debut performances from Paul Moss, Will Woodrow and Oliver Northern.  We had just about a full complement for a men's team but sadly no ladies.  Next week is fixture 2 at Swanley Park.  Please make every effort to be there.

Posted on 3rd November 2019

Just over a week ago a motley crew headed down for what is becoming an annual club jaunt to

Eastbourne for the Beachy Head marathon and 10k.  Several club members went down just to

support.  Big thanks to Mel for organising.

Award for the most prolific GRR racers must go to

Mr & Mrs Hudson.  Hardly a week goes by without a race.

Most recently it was a visit to Paris for the popular (24,000

Dame Kelly Holmes made honorary member of Gravesend Road Runners

Posted on 14th December 2017

Following a club training session back in July where Double Olympic Gold Medallist

and Kent's very own, Dame Kelly Holmes, kindly provided a training session to

Gravesend Road Runners club members, it was agreed that we would make

Kelly an honorary member of the club.  Kelly was provided with her very own

personalised Gravesend Road Runners club t-shirt with her name and running

number from the Athens Olympics as a show of our appreciation for her kindly

providing us all with a club training session and teaching us all some advanced running drills.

Kelly sent through the photo together with a message to say to "Gravesend Road Runners

thanks very much for the club t-shirt and that she hopes all of your training is going well."
